...Absolutely Not!

Recently there have been some decrees that have been voted for here in Greece. One of them concerns the subject of adoption by same-sex parents. Here is my opinion about the matter:

1) Everybody has the right to sexual freedom and choice. Does this have to involve the children and the babies? Absolutely not!

2) Freedom seekers and revolutionists have suddenly discovered that children have also the freedom of (sexual) choice. They have set even the appropriate age for that right -- you guessed it! It's the milestone of 15 years old. Does a teenager at such a young age have come to terms and completely decided upon the subject of his (sexual) preferences? Absolutely not!

3) Many parents here in Greece are not capable of having children and starting up a family for various reasons. Divorces, economic crisis, unemployment, infertility, bureaucracy, etc. These are mostly straight people who are wrestling with the idea of having a child some day but know they can't. Recently there have been made statements by politicians that promise to ease the procedures of adoption. The process is now supposed to have been completed within the period of six months -- maximum! Is this bad? Absolutely not!

4) Finally, let's assume that a family or single parent dad or mom can no longer raise their child/ren for various reasons. What is best? To abandon their child/ren to the streets and/or the beggars? Give it to the church? Give it to an institution? Give it to some people who would love to adopt a child but are not so economically capable? ....Would you then prefer this child to be adopted by more rich, same-sex parents? Absolutely not!

But..wait! WHY absolutely not???

Because...

1) Small children and young teenagers are still in the process of discovering and experimenting with themselves. Do we want them to think of homosexuality as something normal when it is not? It surely is a (personal) choice, but a deviant one -- that's for sure.

2) There's not an appropriate age upon which it is normal and OK to decide upon your sexuality.. More so when it concerns young people. Even adults experiment with their sexuality and sometimes change their preferences -- and that is completely normal.

3) Adoption of a child should had always been easy. But it wasn't in the past. Why so much hustle and hurry nowadays? I will tell you why! To cater to the demands of (mostly) rich same-sex parents!

4) It is always better to learn what is the norm(al) thing and then learn about the "exception(s)" to the rule. Just like in grammar! We first learn the rule and THEN the exception(s)! ;)

Also.. this prepares the way for the ratification of pedophilia and -- to be honest-- child rape and child pornography. Is this the (cool) society that we want to live in?!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

The Only Person That Went On Strike

photo:  Florian Klauer Hi! Today we will write about when approximately a graduate student lands his first job as a teacher. The time is  estimated to 3-5 years after graduation on average . What does this graduate do in the meantime? Work as a tutor? A cashier? Make a career move? Open his own business? Work as waiter/tress? Change their career path? Do voluntary and unpaid work? Go into higher studies? The answer for me was/is simple. I would not wait for private companies or schools to hire me! Neither for public schools! I had sent my curriculum vitae to EVERY private school and they would not even bother to answer me or even call me for an interview.  I tried one year. No result. I tried the next year. Same. Well, guess what!  After the 2nd try I NEVER ever sent them again my CV.  "Why?" you may ask. Because I will not beg for a f** job. I am not the type of person who will lick a(r)sses to get ahead in life....

Predecisions

photo: Moose Photos Have you read about how a human makes decisions? I am not talking about weighing the pros and cons of a subject. I am talking about how the human brain works. Scientists have found that everything we do and decide upon in our everyday lives is predetermined by our brain(s)  milliseconds before we even conclude on an action, idea, etc. Thus, our brain can easily be manipulated by subtle clues and subconscious messages. Our brain can even be stimulated by electromagnetic waves and currents that come from the outside. We don't need wires in our brain to have it stimulated. The gist of it all is that our brain can be manipulated by both inner and outer factors. This also brings another subject up for conversation. Body language and non-verbal clues are ingrained in human culture and most of it comes to us naturally. Someone can follow up training in body language interpretation and Neurolinguistic Programming , but this I will tell you: Noon...

Summer Holiday

photo: pexels After a draining year, the school term has come to an end. Now it's finally vacation and me-time. Off to the closest beach and off to somewhere adventurous and exotic we go... ... leaving all our worries behind and trying to relax and enjoy ourselves . Good company and a pleasant, easy-reading book is all we need for now. See you next year, alligators! Au revoir (our friends)!
